The Forest History Society Breaks Ground on New Facility

On October 27, 2017, nearly 70 individuals (FHS Board, staff, and invited guests) gathered at the construction site of our new facility for a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the Society's historic initiative to construct a new 16,750-square-foot library, archives, and headquarters. The new facility is located at 2925 Academy Road in Durham, North Carolina.

Below are photos from the ceremony and ones showing the construction progress. Construction was completed in December 2018 and FHS moved in at the beginning of January 2019.
